What do you teach at U of Digital, and why?
With U of Digital, I've been helping to build and deliver educational material focused on demand-side platforms: competitive landscape, models, pricing, positioning, etc.
Because of my background, I spend most of my time helping clients transform their businesses by harnessing the power of big data, identifying new areas of growth in the digital world, and optimizing organizational structure to increase efficiency.
What’s your story. Did you end up in Digital Marketing on purpose, or by accident?
Completely by accident! I joined the media buying department at BBDO with a plan to shift to the creative side within a year or so. Midway through that first year, the company made the announcement that switching between teams was frowned upon so I stuck with media buying and then eventually flipped to the sales side.
If you had to explain the Digital Marketing Industry in 3 words, what would they be?
Bright. Shiny. Object.
Your advice to folks looking for success in this industry?
Surround yourself with people and leaders that care about your development, don't be afraid to challenge yourself with new opportunities, don't be afraid to take a risk, & don't ever stop believing in yourself.
